“I joined this class hoping to have a little fun. I did that and so much more! I feel more confident and playful when having any conversation. I connect more with others around me and find that I am better able to listen to people, especially my students." -Laura, math teacher

"I just wanted to thank you for such a fun semester of improv! You are a wonderful and patient teacher. It's so nice and rare to have a class like this so close by on Long Island (and it's at such a great price). I have thoroughly enjoyed every session learning and laughing (very hard) with the other students." - Ashok, professor

Improv is about spontaneous expression, no doubt, but improv values honesty, enthusiasm, observation and teamwork even more. Taking improv classes has definitely helped me professionally, in public speaking and just helping me to think on my feet and to express myself more clearly. In social settings, the skills I've learned make conversations more interesting and dynamic. - Charles, Lawyer

"I enjoy the class because it gives me a place to play and connect with others in a joy-filled way. Plus, I have used some of the skills and activities in my classroom and I am more able to fully connect with my students and to encourage their more active participation as well. Finally, I find that I am more ‘in the moment’ in many aspects of my life." - Anne, teacher

"Michael introduced me to improvisation in a way that was clear, detailed and really fun! I often use his improvisational technique in my commercial auditions and they were incredibly useful to me in rehearsals for The Lion King, Newsies and many others." - John, Broadway actor

“I have taken classes from a number of improv teachers and I keep going back to Michael because he really teaches craft, not just games. He also fosters a supportive and non-competitive environment. I've learned from him that the more I can access my natural spontaneity, the more fun and creative I am. It's not about being funny; it's about being free.”- Catherine, Executive Director
“His method is kind and supportive, whether you take the class for the skills, for enjoyment, or simply to play games. Improv has allowed me to be less reserved at my job, where immediate decisions and humor are very important.”
-Alix, business consultant

Michael is a brilliant guy and a great teacher. He knows improv forwards and backwards like no one else and his skill at getting everyone to understand and return to the basics can’t be beaten. His classes are truly fun. And exciting. And challenging. What raises Michael above and beyond other improv teachers is the sense you get as soon as you start his class that he is there for you. His attention goes beyond welcoming and there is real camaraderie in his classes. There’s no trying to be funny in his class and that makes it wonderful. His dedicated avoidance of cheap humor is rare and he makes you want to do your best. Michael’s classes are amazing.
